Engage Phase: The Challenge Is Set

We presented the Engage phase of our Deep Learning project: our Big Idea, our Essential Question and our Challenge.

Our team FBAI’s presented the Engage phase of our Deep Learning project to our supervisors, Mr. Safouane Jebali and Mrs. Wided Askri.

Where it starts: “Is anyone there?”

Every student knows these moments: attending a lecture but not daring to ask in front of everyone, missing the class, rewatching a recording twice and staying just as confused, sending an email that nobody answers. Online, students’ comments all end with the same question: is anyone there?

The numbers behind the need

The world will be missing 44 million teachers by 2030, 272 million children are still out of school (UNESCO), and only 3% of learners finish an online course (MIT/Harvard, Science 2019). At the same time, 95% of students already use AI (HEPI 2026).

Our Engage phase

  • Big Idea: Knowledge Revolution
  • Essential Question: How can we make the best knowledge available to every learner, wherever and whenever they are?
  • Challenge: Allow every student, wherever they are, to ask questions and learn face to face from the best teachers and minds, in their own language.

Responsible by design

A voice can be cloned from 3 seconds of audio, and only 46% of people trust AI. Since August 2026, the EU AI Act requires AI-generated content to be disclosed. Our project will be transparent about its AI-generated avatars and voices.

What’s next

“The challenge is set. Now we investigate.”
